"Without pausing for breath I would recommend Isys to any business of any size."

Adrian Lewis - Audience Systems

After trawling through a plethora of Time & Attendance providers getting in demonstrations from four providers we had whittled down to, we opted for Isys. Not the cheapest of the bunch but by far the strongest of them, have a quick scan of the packages ability, look and functionality vs competitors, you will agree it just feels right from the off."

Time and Attendance - Overtime, Benefits & Bonuses

Intelligent Time caters for a comprehensive range of standard employee work and absence records from within its configuration tools. Additional records and accrued balances or bonuses can be created automatically by use of a custom configuration feature that allows us to program calculations that are unique to your business.

These may include:
• Company Bonus, over short or long or multiple time periods
• Attendance Bonus, again calculated to your time schedule
• Piece Rate Bonus, based on data collected from the shop floor or entered administratively
• Length of service Bonus, calculated annually, or on anniversary of joining

Time and Attendance - Intelligent Bonus Tracking

Keeping track of the employees that qualify or fail to qualify can be very time consuming and often inaccurate. With defined rules built into the logic of Intelligent Time any employee that meets the criteria for these bonuses is automatically flagged up and presented on the Monthly/Weekly bonus report. It is then at the discretion of the Payroll or team manager to complete this payment in payroll.  Accruals are frequently associated with holiday, absence or sickness entitlements and thresholds for alerts and reporting.

New starters in their first year of service may accrue holiday entitlement pro-rata against hours worked, or existing staff may have length of service based holiday entitlement top-ups, or more structured absence management terms associated with their historical attendance patterns.

Contractors or agency staff may frequently have different entitlements to full time staff.

Intelligent Time automates all these procedures for the managers and payroll team by calculating the real-time data, displaying and reporting accrued balances based on the pre defined logic and combine this with the conventional payroll records to present a more uniform record set throughout the workflow.

Time and Attendance - Overtime

Overtime is a facility which traditionally motivates staff to provide additional effort and a more responsive and flexible reaction to last minute requirements, but also represents an unplanned add-on cost, one which is also often paid at an uplifted rate, further amplifying its impact on operating costs.

Companies using our Intelligent suite of business modules will naturally become more efficient and cost effective, however in many industries overtime will remain as a useful resource to you, one which Intelligent Time will help you to continue to manage your time and attendance accurately and more efficiently.

We support a wide range of overtime rules and calculation styles, of which some examples are:

  • Daily timed (e.g. after 8 hours)
  • Daily zoned (e.g. after 18:00, or between 18:00 and 23:00)
  • Accumulative (e.g. first 2 hours at one rate, next 2 hours at another rate
  • Weekly claw-back (e.g. must do 37 hours minimum before overtime paid)
  • Paid as Lieu Time or contribute to annual leave
  • Pre-authorised, Manually authorised by exception, declined, deleted status tracking

All this information can be managed on screen, or externally via email allowing you to keep accurate control over your company's time and attendance management.

Time and Attendance - Breaks

Breaks are an essential entitlement to maintain our employee’s ability to concentrate and work effectively, but one often abused and under-reported.

Research has shown on average companies can save 0.5% of their wage bill by identifying employees taking too long a break, and also the impact this has on team workflow and productivity.

Intelligent Time and Attendance helps you manage this entitlement effectively by defining the break rules:-
• Fixed (e.g. 10:00 tea break)
• Flexible (e.g. a 1 hour lunch break, permitted anywhere in a 2 hours window)
• Timed break (e.g. occurs 4 hours after clock in, or every 4 hours thereafter)
• Mandatory/Optional (whether clocked by employee, or auto recorded)
• Paid & Unpaid types to correctly accrue to payroll
