“Errors were being made with the old system due to its age and the considerable amount of manual intervention it required. This was not only costing the business in both capital and labour time but was also proving to be a very difficult task to keep staff happy as it was quite common their pay would be inaccurate. Indeed, to help ensure payroll was being run correctly and hours were being recorded in their intended way we had to recruit a new member of staff for the Admin Department”. Job-Sequence Management
|
With job or sequence management, employees' hours can be allocated to job or sequence set within the software. You can manage and review time spent in particular job or sequence tracking movement between and detail exact hours worked.
Typically an employee has a default job or sequence, however at any time the employee can change by using a customized keypad or barcode scanner connected to the terminal.
Alternatively, your manager can use the software to edit an employee's hours prior to or after the event.
Dependant on the number of terminals in operation, job or sequence can be assigned to terminals. For example, if an employee clocks in at Site 1 in the morning and then travels to Site 2 in the afternoon; (providing he has clocked in at each location) the system can track time spent at both sites, and calculate the travel time in-between.
